Since its inception, the Arab Open University has partnered with the UK Open University (UKOU) and adheres to the Quality Assurance Code of Practice established by the UK-based Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). This code serves as a framework for the AOU to evaluate its academic performance and maintain high standards.
According to the QAA, Quality Assurance encompasses all systems, resources, and information used by universities and higher education institutions to uphold and enhance standards and quality. This includes ensuring quality in teaching, student learning, research, as well as administrative and financial processes.
To ensure a high-quality learning experience for both students and faculty, the Arab Open University, through its Quality Assurance Unit, monitors and evaluates its practices, procedures, and services. Additionally, the unit is responsible for developing and refining new procedures that align with top-tier quality standards, aimed at enhancing the university's productivity and continually improving established practices.
