Amna has
over 20 years of teaching and coordinating courses in various Sudanese
Universities. She holds a master's degree in Electronic Engineering from the Sudan University of Science and
Technology and is currently a Ph.D. student at the Sudan Academy of Sciences
Before joining AOU, she was a senior
engineer at Africa City of Technology, working as a technical manager for
Sudan National Grid and
Supercomputer projects

Grid computing project
Grid computing network is a multiple
number of the same classes of computers clustered together as parallel
processing which means running program or application on many computers or
processor after divide its instruction to many processes
This project aimed to:
· Establishing SUST
research unit to work on grid environment.
· Increase SUST network
application high performance.
· Supporting SUST
programmers to gain high system performance.
· To reach secure
applications using grid middleware.
· Using clustering
network technologies.
· Solving problems for
sensitive application.

preparing grid computing lab.

specification and topologies.
ü Testing and building
clusters.

monitoring processors.

Supervised BSc graduation projects in Electronic
Engineering and computer science information technology at
Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST), and three
theses at University of Khartoum and one at Nilain University.

Co-supervised many Master projects in Education,
Engineering and Science.

External Examiner for Bsc at Khartoum and Nilain
universities.
International activities:
· Participate at SUN
Micro system competition, win the first and received the implementing tools.
· At 2001 South Africa
youth forum get Spencer ship.
· Participate with
ITU/ALCATEL INITIATIVE, got an invitation, participate by writing an internet
project showing how to bridge the digital divide and concretely implement
universal access to internet. The project start at May 2002- Supervised by
Barabara Wilson at ITU contacts: (barabara.wilson@itu.int) & (jean-maie.jb.balanchard@alcatel.fr ).
· At 2003 participate
with ICT project proposal with Schlumberger through the web.
