Students transferring from other universities to the Arab Open University (AOU) can apply for course equivalencies.
To do so, they must follow these steps:
- Submit the required form: Students need to fill out and submit the official course equivalency application form to the Registrar's office.
- Provide official documentation: Along with the application form, students must provide an official transcript (grades) from their previous university. This transcript should include detailed course descriptions, outlining the content and scope of the courses taken.
These steps are necessary for the AOU to assess whether the courses taken at the previous institution are equivalent to those offered at the Arab Open University and can be credited toward their degree program.
- The word "Transferred" (T) appears as letter grade for the equivalent course at the beginning of the student's transcript.
- No points are calculated for the equivalent courses and therefore do not fall within the calculation of the student's semester or cumulative GPA, but the number of credits is calculated within the number of hours completed for the program.
